Lil Red
:freak: not the hammer!! :freak: and i love seeing pics & stuff of Dani - but there again, that has a point. so does the other picture threads. i love seeing you on here, Az!!!
marielapin
The only problem is, that whenever we make new threads, in about four hours they are on page five. Maybe its because we are boring, I don't know, but its extremely tiresome to hunt for the good threads.
marielapin
I really don't have a problem with personal threads where people share personal experiences, information. In fact, I like those. But threads that consist almost entirely of LOLs, ROTFLOLs, and other such nonsense are annoying and a waste of my time. I still have dialup so I usually give up looking for the good threads cause it takes too long to flip through 8 to 10 pages of open mic. Cannot the teeney bopper pages be moved to the creepy aliens phorum? Isn't that what its for?
Lil Red
true. then you bump them, three hours later, it's gone again. i thought it was just me, that i stink or something. *sniffs*
Lil Red
what really bugs me is when i need help with something, i post a question, it gets lost in the shuffle because people don't go beyond page 1 to look at something (some of you, not all), i come back, and i can't even find my own thread! :irate:

marielapin
true. then you bump them, three hours later, it's gone again. i thought it was just me, that i stink or something. *sniffs*
no, its not just you. and as far as making new threads, I only start them when I feel like I have something important to say. So its not like I can start live five threads in a week to flood out all the junk threads. That is only adding to the problem.
StColette
I, myself, am guilty of posting in personal threads and making a few umm useless threads, but after seeing everyone complaining so much about them I stopped. As you can tell the personal threads have died away, and I've removed myself from Open Mic quite a bit and have dedicated myself to the Apologetics board. I apologize for my part in the spamming mess.
marielapin
We need to make a distinction by what we mean by a personal thread. The thread where Ash Wednesday telling about how her car died is a personal thread, but its the kind we want to read. Seeing pictures of Dani and Adrienne is a personal thread also, but again it has meat to it. Its hard to describe, but what we dislike are junk threads. No filling. Almost all threads are going to be somewhat personal in nature.
Paladin D
I believe there should be another section added for adults 20+.
Azriel
You guys are doing exactly what you need to in order to change Open Mic. Without dialogue, you can't make Open Mic better. Already as St Collette noted, personal threads have begun to die away. Forums, as well as, Phorums go in cycles. Which is why people post tons, and then seemingly dissappear. What is tremendous is the dedication all Phatmasser's have to the board. dUSty gave us a beautiful home ... its up to us to keep in running well and cleaned up. Paladin D
Ha, pretty cool... As Al pointed out, go to My Controls>Board Settings. Changed topics-per-page and posts-per-page to 40.
Crusader_4
No section for adults plus 20+ it makes us who are under feel really left out. For example anyone can actually post in under 20 or look at. i dunno i just dont like the feeling of having a section i cant see you could just maybe make a wrning that the Open Mic is not for useless threads.
No no no, the 20+ section will be viewable and postable by everyone (like creepy aliens). The more "private" discussions are in the NFP forum.
