What do you think are the most commonly debated issues in the Church today?

Issues like:

-celibacy in the priesthood
-male priesthood
-contraception
-abortion
-euthanasia

What else?

Now, Lil Red, that is a much happier avatar.

You've made my day.

I would add "Ecumenism" and "Interfaith Matters" as some people take it too far and some people don't agree with it.

I'm glad you get to see your hubby again. God bless you on your remeeting.

I think liturgy is also a hot-button issue...so many in the Church-accepted range, but then others who break the rules a LOT in either direction.

I think another big issue is how to vote responsibly. I suppose that's not so much an issue with other denominations as much as within the american church itself. People have a hard time with that I think.
The Church's teachings on Mercy . . . very few people accept them.
Yeah, and those who don't accept them should be punished mercilessly!

:P

I want to say social justice because that is what got me intrested in my faith but I am not sure I would call it "hot button."
