Frequent Communion

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but how often is one allowed to receive Holy Communion? Is is no more than once daily? Or can one receive twice? I know you can receive at a wedding Mass on Saturday and receive again that day if you decide to go to the vigil Mass, but is a situation like this the only exception to receiving twice in one day?

From the Code of Canon Law:
Can. 917 One who has received the blessed Eucharist may receive it again on the same day only within a eucharistic celebration in which that person participates.

In other words if you go to Mass say in the morning and then attend say a mass in another parish or say in a school or in the same church that evening you may go to communion again but you cannot do it a third time no matter what the reason.

If you were assisting a sick person and could not attend mass then you may receive communion if it is brought to the sick person. However if you have been to mass and the person receives communion from the minister at a later time then you may not receive. It must be in the context of the celebration of Mass
