Judas and Assurance of Salvatoin

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question for you Assured Salvation folks:

I ran accross a verse I have read many times but it struck me a bit different this time. In Matthew's Gospel it says:

Matthew 19:28
And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Now this was a response to peter speaking of the 12 Apostles leaving everything to follow Jesus. I is quite obvious that this promise of thrones was to the Apostles. There is one problem however. One of the 12 at this scene was Judas. It appears to me anyway that from a Assurance of Salvation point of view that Jesus was saying that Judas was assured of salvatoin here. Yet, most Assurance of Salvatoin types say to me that Judas is in hell. The scriptures say it wold be better if he had never been born. Anyway can you reconcile this verse with your Assurance of Salvation positoin? Thanks. I should also not that at some point after this verse it indicates that Judas allowed the devil in.

Luke 22:3
And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve.

John

John 13:27
After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus *said to him, "What you do, do quickly."

Another interesting verse, and question, can one cast out demons if one is not saved?

Luke 9:1
And He called the TWELVE together, and gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.
And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to perform healing.

This would seem to indicate to me a fall from grace.

God bless
