Is There A Double Standard?

I believe it was Ginger Rogers who once said something along the lines of, "A woman is expected to do everything a man does, except backwards and in heels."

hehe yes there's a double standard.

My sister is in my mind one of the greatest people I know, hehe I might just be baised lol. She manages to raise three kids, completely by herself, and she also has a full time job and at this moment she is studying about Catholicism and researching deeply into it. She's completely awesome !! anywho enough props about my sis lol

God Bless,
Jennie

I believe if it is financially possible for one parent (mom or dad) to stay at home it is wonderful for the kids, however it is very rarely possible these days with prices of everything raising. :(

yeah it's true. women who stay home w/ their kids are seen as wasting their lives and kind of pathetic. but women who choose to dedicate their lives to their careers and not get married/have kids are seen as dried up, ball-busting old hags that no one wanted. it takes a lot of thick skin to be a woman these days because no matter what, you're pissing someone off w/ your choices.

kilroy, i think it's b/c people see education as a means to an end (career) and not an end in itself.

Dust, I would have to say that transferring colleges and math class are more confusing than women ;) but i'll agree with airline fares topping the list! :P
