59beads - First 3 Mysteries Finished

It all works like Dust says it should. 1 decade of the rosary, no sound, etc.

But if I go to http://www.59beads.com/ it just says "Pray the rosary every day," and nothing is clickable. There should be a way to get from there to the home page.

It's not open to the public yet. I'm giving the phatmassers a sneak peak.

The pictures are great, only they rotate too fast. They should go much slower so we can meditate on a picture for a second before he next three flash by.

The general style is awesome.

You might think about having some choices in the chant . . . Gregorian, Byzantine, Russian

The little meditations at the bottom need some work. Some read kinda rough, like they were written by a man trying to get them done . . . they lack the flow or poetic grace that would make them great.

Dust. Looks cool, but is the framed picture of the hand and rosary suppose to be off to the left? it looks kinda weird, whn everything else is aligned.

Dust when I click this link I get a picture of hands, At the bottom left of the pic it says sound and gives several options, none of which work. There is nothing else on the picture to click, and I have tried every square inch. There are no myteries to click on.

I am running
Microsoft Windows XP Pro Version 2002
AMD Athlon(tm)XP 1.66 GHz 352 MB of RAM
13 inch moniter , screen res 1024 x768

I have no info about the wireless router we are using.

The captions were taken from here:

Do you know where I can find better ones?

The meditations seem utilitarian...they need a bit of poetry to them...some flow...

dUSt, I'll rewrite them to be more poetic if you would like.

Sure! Take a look at the page I linked. It's important they stay short, because the space is limited.

It would be some work dUST, but I think if someone were to go through the "Secret of the Rosary" by St. Louis de Montfort, or maybe some of the writings of Max Kolbe, or some other saints . .. that would be tight . . .

I would be willing to go through the Joyful Mysteries and do it, someone else could do the Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious. It would be a lot of work, but the end product would be much better.

Let me see if I can get Fr. Peter Cameron (the editor of magnificat) to do the Luminous. He gave an awesome talk on the Luminous Mysteries to my parish last year.

K, I'll get to work.

That sounds good, but we're working with limited space... the comments that accompany each Hail Mary can only be about one sentence long each...

will you have litanies for the end of the rosary? like the litany of Loreto? or (I know it's long) the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary? or a patron saint litany? like the patron saint of phatmass?
