MichaelFilo
we don't link to anti-Catholic sites If I've seen so much stuff being pulled out of context, and really no refuting, just saying no to stuff (ie Jesus isn't in the "wafer" is the only arguement, except for that it really comes from the anceint egyptians. He doesn't even show how the Church defends it. Jack chick is and will always not like Catholics, I think. We should pray for him. Maybe if he finds out Catholics are praying for him, he can write up a tract on why we pray to the stars really... and how the pope is really the only one who hears our prayers... this guy is nuts. Brother Adam
We've dealt with Chick alot in the past. Most Fundamental Christians don't like him. Keating described him as "At the Frindge"
MichaelFilo
Sorry Cmother, honest post. I saw it, and I thought everyone else should see what they use. MichaelFilo
We've dealt with Chick alot in the past. Most Fundamental Christians don't like him. Keating described him as "At the Frindge"
He seems to be popular anyway. No one really uses his books when trying to attack the Church (from what I have seen) but, you know, if he sells so much, some people have to buying it... and reading it. Brother Adam
Yes, a group of fundamentalists that no one takes seriously. I've had the honor of having this stuff thrown at me online. His success is described as "not very successful in getting converts". There are small groups of people who buy up 10's of thousands of tracts and books and leave them everywhere. They are most successful in getting angry exchanges. The people who use the tracts are not logical, reasonable, or sane.
MichaelFilo
My dad used to have some. I never realized they were anti-Catholic. They are depressing to look at though. It's mostly the shady type of art. Again sorry cmom. Do these fundies happen to belong to a certian denomination? God bless, Mikey

MichaelFilo
With Canada's views on abortion and gya marriage, it coulnd't possible be that. God bless, Mikey PS. If a mod wants to move this, it isn't quite a debate, although I thought it may turn into one here. Or at least a debate with everyone one side. yiannii
You never know; Canada has a fair large Islamic population and they seem to have a degree of power in that country. Chick does also attack the Islamic faith, although the attack is nothing compared to that against the Church. One thing that really annoys me about Chick is that there is nothing to back up the claims, there is no proof. That is the work of VERY POOR scholarly! Chick seems to be of the “red-neck” type. VeraMaria
Actually, when we went to Vancouver there were Chick tracts everywhere. . I've not seen many in Miami, but over there... We got some two mornings in a row, slid under our hotel door Then, in the waiting room where we were waiting to sign up for whale-watching, there was a whole stack of them next to the magazines...and people were actually reading them...(I picked one up called "My name in the vatican?" and another one called "why is mary crying?" they were soooo bizarre) And lastly in the airport there was some men passing them out. Weird.
MichaelFilo
>.< Some people will believe them. Chick himself believes them. this scares me. God bless, Mikey
toledo_jesus
Well Jack Chick has been around for a good long time. Nobody is really sure who he is or if he's still working as the artist. He may have passed on his legacy to the next generation. Anyway, he's a buffoon. too bad some people believe what he says.
