VeraMaria
This evening we'll get a tiny edge of it...but nothing compared to what's happening on the West Coast!
geetarplayer
It's starting to rain here in Melbourne. I actually live on an island in the Atlantic just two miles away from Melbourne, so my sympathies go to the people who live on the gulf coast... They're getting flooded by the 10-15 foot swells. I saw footage of Fort Meyers, where the eye passed through... parts of the town are under about two or three feet of water. -Mark

Iacobus
Scary. I am glad I was am in the Midwest. Last summer I went on a cruise and we had to steam (is that the proper word?) around it. But we still got some waves (big for a midwesterner) that rocked the boat bad. That all sounds scary.

jasJis
All's well here. The storm stayed to the east of us. I live about 25 miles west of the eye that went through Polk County. Just a little wind a rain. Fort Meyers and Captiva Island got slammed. Iron should be okay as well. Jax is getting more rain than it needs, since we've all been getting rain for two weeks.
