Go to class. Seriously, this may sound silly, but really, just go to class. Then you automatically have a lot less stress on your mind.
Good rule of opposites:

In Highschool, they made a big deal of going to class, but it didn't matter. In college, they don't really care, but showing up everyday is the difference between an "A" and a "D".

Let's see some more advice

Ooh for those who are science majors ( heheehe ) be sure you get your lab partner's phone number, believe me you'll need it.

Learn how to play "the game" which means learn about your Professors, how they give tests, how they want essays handed in, and about themselves. Cause believe me when it comes time for recommendation for Grad. School you're gonna need letters of recommendation from a ton of Profs.

Be sure to get to know your Dean as well !! another great source for recommendations and help.

Familiarize yourself with the deadlines for Financial Aid ( ) and Scholarships

oooh Don't be disappointed when you pay $600.00 for your books and then sell them back to the Uni for only $100.00 lol

umm Be sure you find out if you need to miss class for HDO ( Holy Days of Obligation ) or find out of a near by Parish that has a Mass time that you are able to attend.

Don't be afraid of your Professors !!! They can smell fear lol ;)

The benches outside are great for napping ;)

It is nearly impossible to study in the Student Union or Rec Center lol

Be sure to not lose your student ID lol ( has lost her's 5 times  )

Professors do not believe in dr.'s notes or parent notes when you miss a class.

Be sure you find out what your Professor's policy on attending the class is.

Wow... it's nice to know college has not change one iota (except for the backing up papers on another disk advice and the deleting IM--I didn't do either of those things!) since I was in college...
If you ever fall asleep in the library, don't feel bad about it. If you look around, you'll find you're not alone.
I did this all the time :P

This all sounds painfully familiar.

Another hint: Instructors usually teach one of two ways. Conslusions backed up by evidence or long narrative leading to a conclusion. Figure out which :)

Spending 5 minutes going over the book BEFORE class means you will have some clue what the prof is talking about.

This is not high school. Nobody cares what you did there or who you knew there. You are starting a new life, enjoy it.

Beware overly helpful people who direct you to nonexistant elevators and enjoy doing things to hapless freshmen. Stay away from frat parties, freshman are considered easy pickings and door prizes by many frat members of either sex.

You are back at the bottom of the food chain. Try not to be dinner :eat:

When at a party, bar, club, etc. NEVER leave your drink unattended. If it hasn't been in your sight the whole time, get a new one.

Some profs assign textbook readings, but never, ever mention them or cover them in class... the test are almost always on the text-- not the lectures!
