The Tmi Thread

Recommended Posts

Let's all share something about ourselves that other people would say "TMI" about if we told them!

I'll go first ... there have been times when I've been lax about doing laundry and ran out of clean boxer shorts. And so when that has happened, I've just taken an already-worn pair, washed it out by hand with a little detergent, and ironed it dry!

LOL even dUSt says its sick and no I won't be sharing because TMI usually means it's embarrassing to share as well. I'm sure dallas will participate in this thread though lol
what does [sic] mean?
Sic is Latin for yes. When you see it in English it is normaly means yes that is what he said or how he spelled it and is found in quotes. So if I was quoting Bush (I just love Bushisms, and I know a lot of them so yeh) I could say,

"They are misunderestamteing [sic and sp?] me." Meaning yes that is what he said and not a typo on my part. It has fallen out of fashion because it seems to imply a surpoirory (lol I can't spell today) on your part. "Oh look at me I am so smart" is what it convays to many people. Thats why you don't see it in a lot of modern work.

Does that help?
