I'm smart? Now that's new too. :P I'm a blonde, remember, I don't hear that often

I don't think you lied at all. :D

They told you where they wanted to go, you told them where they NEEDED to go.

The Holy Spirit inspired you.
BUT

And please NEVER NEVER NEVER offer to give directions to a car with men in it again.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you had given the wrong response , or showed the slightest interest in the topic
[its an obvious come-on to you] you might be dead or worse.

vera, that's hilarious, but to add to what cmom said,

never come closer to a car that is asking for directions, because someone would be able to reach out and snatch you a lot easier.

Lil Red and cmom:

Where I was roller-blading was around golf course. The street is narrow, and being on roller-blades, if a car stops next to me I can't avoid it. But it's always full of people walking, running, biking, golfing...it's never empty (the street), plus it's full of houses...it'd be very hard for me to get kidnapped.

But that's the last time I'm giving people like that 'directions'...that's for sure....

I say be very very careful no matter what you do. I would ignore them and keep on going. Someone who asks that might have another motive.
