I don't like going to the dentist. I've never had a cavity, although I've had some teeth pulled ... I just don't like getting my teeth cleaned ... and I don't trust most dentists. I think they worry more about making money than about really giving me good advice about my teeth. I feel the same way about auto mechanics.
And then I just love when they start asking me questions about myself, while they have their fingers in my mouth. I mean, do they really expect me to respond (not only coherently, but at all)?
lol!

That always happens to me

"So, how's school"

I'm just there with my open mouth and her fingers in my mouth

"What did you do over vacation?"

etc

They can't expect me to respond...

I went a few weeks ago. And I'd have to agree with the asking questions with their hands in your mouth thing. Always happens. Come to think of it, my mom has an appoinment today! Bummer for her!

You would think ... but I've gone to several different dentists, and have never gotten anywhere close to an agreement about potential problem areas with my teeth. They'll all see shadows in different places, or want to fill indents in different teeth ... If I were consistently getting an opinion from two different dentists, I might feel like I wasn't being scammed, but I don't. I just don't trust them. I think they're out to make a buck.
