reelguy227
LOL ,very true!!! i gave this one guy eucharistic miracles as an example and hesaid that i forgot to mention guadalupe and the shroud which he said are hoaxes, here is exactly what he said: this is what i said : "THEY ARENT SUPERSTITIONS!!! what the hek,my gosh .those are real they arent hoaxes ,and i suppose that fatima and lourdes were hoaxes also ?" this is what he said: "Why wouldn't they be? Independent investigations of the images on both the shroud and the alleged "Juan Diego's" cloak have shown to be comprised of plant/mineral matter, specifically pigments like vermillion and ochre. Indeed, the so-called shroud was admitted to be faked by a Bishop several hundred years ago. Neither have clear proveniences, they simply "appeared" in the public eye by someone claiming they are "miracles." Fatima was likely mass-hysteria combined with outright fiction. I recall that a radio DJ was able to much the same thing with an announcement on April 1 that Mars was attacking the Earth. Hoaxes, bubba. Nothing more." MorphRC
Lourdes cant be just a hoax... Ive read over 20 books and articles from Catholic sites, even non-catholic scientists are amazed by it. I think in one local paper, the Southern cross, 3 atheist scientists converted to Catholicism.
Crusader_4
You can use natural law i find that to be very effective. Since they follow natural law quite often in many ways that is a good way to apply it to them. For example ask him if we are here from a random experiment wrong and right have no bearing ask him then who actually is a better person Blessed Teresa or Hitler...since according to atheism there is no right or wrong. EcceNovaFacioOmni
The Handbook of Christian Apologetics is good book on the issue. THe author, Peter Kreeft, proves God's existence on his website too: http://www.peterkreeft.com/featured-writing.htm My favorite is the "first cause" arguement. reelguy227
thanks everyone again ,ill have to look into that book morph.there are three questions that they always want an answer to : 1.How do yu prove God exists? If it cannot be proven it doesnt exist. how do i answer that one? 2.How can an all-powerfull, loing and caring God let so many people suffer? Either he isn't all powerful, or not loving and caring... how do i answer that one? 3.(this is from an agnostics point of view) why should i except your God over all the others ?
