Thy Geekdom Come
The most unique individual I've ever met was a friend from seminary. He was about as liberal as one can get without being heterodox (i.e. he held liberal, but not unorthodox, opinions and liturgical preferences, etc.). He wore pirate boots, had earrings (not allowed at school, though), was a Centrist Republican despite his ecclesiastical liberality, would bow whenever he met people, liked to recite (in perfect verse, meter, tone, and accent) lines from Monty Python movies, wore capes and cloaks sometimes, slept on the floor (to be goofy, not out of penance), loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, got a kick out of Superpope, and had a small stock of movies with thumbs instead of people and a CD with a Canadian parody rock band singing about being pirates on some river in Canada...yet he didn't like Amish Paradise because it made fun of people for their religion...but it was okay to make fun of Canadians for their nationality... Actually, I'm glad he did. If he stayed like that, I don't think he would've been the best priest. Besides, he's going into counseling, which is much more suited toward his personality, so I think he'll be content.

Mrs. Bro. Adam
Just gotta rant, so please bare with me: this African American was in my place of work wanting copies, well...our copiers are self-serve, and they always have been. This guy was still getting his stuff ready when I asked if I could help whoever was next. The African American then asks me if I can help him, because he was there first well...he's been in here more than once, and should know that they're self-serve so he says, "well...you could've told me that earlier and saved me five minutes" THis guy took up all of our parking spots with his car cause he park across them all, and then when I told him that they were self-serve, he left the store I'm like whatever but it's people like that that would try to bring a race discrimination suit against businesses and if he tried to do that to PostalAnnex, all I'd have to say is that he wasn't ready to be served, the copiers are self-serve, and he took up all the parking spots there's no discrimination taking place, only the rules of business you always help those who are ready to be served, and then those who are finished getting things ready to be helped with and it wasn't five minutes, at most it was 30 seconds. theculturewarrior
I've been discriminated against. Sometimes when I'm in church, the locals shudder at the thought of shaking a white boy's hand at the sign of the peace...I've been told that the only reason I have a job, and indeed, the only reason I have friends at all, is because I'm white. I was told this by my Bible Study leader.
