If you want me to find the Latin Mass Parts, I'd be happy to find them and translate anything if necessary.

And if you're putting in the words of the dismissal.. why not the greeting? (i.e. "In the name of the Father..." and to make the sign of the cross). And you could.. to be really technical and picky (though I'm not sure how in-depth you wanted this), after the first and second readings put "The Word of the Lord. And Thanks be to God." (Deo gratias!)

http://www.catholicliturgy.com has the text of the Mass in Latin and the English translation next to it.

It can be annoying to navigate.. so here's the link: http://www.catholicliturgy.com/index.cfm/F.../67/TextIndex/9

JMJ
8/5 - Dedication of St. Mary Major

This is more of a personal thing, but if you're going to include a non-ICEL translation of the Gloria, why stop there? If you want to stick with ICEL, though, then I'd change the Gloria to the approved (U.S.) translation.

Also, yeah, if you're going to have a sung entrance hymn, then sing the Alleluia as well - the Psalm, Alleluia, and Institution Narrative should be sung before any of the Mass parts (cf. Sacred Music After Vatican II, edited by Msgr. Richard Schuler).

Hmmm....

Looks like I'm going to have some revisions to make.

What is the approved U.S. translation of the gloria?

Gloria in excelsis Deo et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis.
Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth.

Laudamus te, benedicimus te, adoramus te, glorificamus te, gratias agimus tibi propter magnam gloriam tuam, Domine Deus, Rex caelestis, Deus Pater omnipotens.
Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father, we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.

Domine Fili unigenite, Iesu Christe, Domine Deus, Agnus Dei, Filius Patris, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis; qui tollis peccata mundi, suscipe deprecationem nostram. Qui sedes ad dexteram Patris, miserere nobis.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us; you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer.

Quoniam tu solus Sanctus, tu solus Dominus, tu solus Altissimus, Iesu Christe, cum Sancto Spiritu: in gloria Dei Patris. Amen.
For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Okay, so the Latin is actually the same. It's just the translation that needs to be changed. Okay--that's easy.

That's true.

The next GIRM is going to have a change, though.
