Question About Prayers

At our parish we have a "red book" where people can write down their intentions and during all the masses we all pray for the intentions written in the book. I'm not sure if this is universal or not, or how common it is. Anyway, I was wondering if I started like a "prayer book" with all the intentions that I come up with during the day, and then prayed for the intentions written in the book at my daily prayer time. I would do this because sometimes peopke would ask me to pray for them and by the end of the day or after receiving eucharist (a certain saint whose name fails me said once that prayers directly after holy communion are the ones that are colsest with God or something) I would forget the intentions. My question is if I started writing down these multiple intentions in a book, and then prayed for the intentions in the book as a whole, does that make the prayer any less valid? I can see why it may not be because obviously I couldn't write down the prayers of the rosary for example, and have it count. It almost seems like an easy way out, but there are so many intentions and I would rather they all be offered to God as opposed to my awful memory forgetting them. I hope I made sense. Thanks!

No, your prayers are still efficacious - it gets hard to remember all those intentions all the time. Since I'm a seminarian, I'm allowed to wear a cassock when I serve Mass - it gets hard to remember prayer intentions during Mass when I'm trying to concentrate, so I write down my intentions on a piece of paper and stuff it into one of the wristcuffs of my cassock. It gets those prayers about as near to the altar as I can get them. Hope this helps.
