Maddalena
Should I send her that little book "A Pillar of Fire, A Pillar of Truth"? She's an unwed mother (He's due in December. ), she's 21 years old, and she's also never been baptized. Wow. O_o That would be awesome if she became a Catholic. All of her sins would be wiped clean after her baptism. o_o What should I do, y'all? :B Edited August 5, 2004 by Maddalena

littleflower+JMJ
Story of a Soul is good....by St. Therese as for pillar of fire...its good but its more for catholics who need to know their faith....well its written in that sense ...... so anything prayerful or that explains the Church..... but keep the pillar of fire, pillar of truth for her when she asks questions...... invite her to adoration or mass. most importantly be there for her, support her! and encourage! and.....pray! im really happy to hear this maddalena! its really wonderful!! Maddalena
Thank you, Flowery. It is awesome. o.o For someone who's never been in a church a day in her life to decide she wants to be Catholic, that's just amazing. ;.;

shelly_freak
I'm actually reading this really good book called a case for faith by lee strobel. it's a great book that defends all the aspects of the church. there's also the one he wrote before that its called a case for christ. these are some great books! CatholicCrusader
Well if she is interested in learning what the Church teaches, I suggest as a catechism "A Brief Catechism for Adults: A Complete Handbook on How to be a Good Catholic" by Fr. William J Cogan.
MorphRC
Get some info, or booklet on first century Christianity. Even though some people might not say its important, or worthwhile, I feel that its good to prove catholicisms existence in the first century. And it as the original and only true christian way. p0lar_bear
I think a good (adult) beginner book is "A Map of Life" by Frank Sheed. It doesn't present itself like a catechism, but discusses most of the important issues, and shows why they are important.
theculturewarrior
When I was converting what helped me most actually was the net. Maybe a few websites would help. EWTN's Q&A forum is good. http://www.ewtn.com Also, the apologetics phorum's reference shelf is good.
MorphRC
True. But I dont know if reading apologetic stuff, would be a great idea, maybe they might take on the anti-catholic propaganda more than the catholic stuff. Just a thought.
