Let's see when I was picking which College to attend I first looked for one that had my major Biological Science/ Pre Veterinary Med. then I looked at the location of the school, I didn't want to go toooooo far from home, because family is very important to me. I had two colleges to chose between after those things came into factor. one is an hour from home the other is about 2 hours from home. Due to financial aid problems the beginning of my Fall semester I decided to pick the one an hour from home that way I can still live at home with my dad and save up money and transfer to the other college in a few years, which after this Fall semester and Spring semester I'll be attending NSU instead of LSU-S, because at NSU I can receive my Vet. tech. degree and be able to make more money at a Vet. office while I work my way through Vet. School. lol okay I'm rambling. The end :)

It all depends on my major. If I decide to major in interior design, I'll go to Savanna College of Art and Design (Georgia). If I decide to major in historic preservation, I'll go to either SCAD of the College of Charleston (South Carolina). I don't know where I'd go if I decided to major in Italian. ;-;

:idea:

I could double major in historic preservation AND Italian. o_____o Thus furthering my chances of moving to Italy! >_>;;; Muahahahahah.

Yeah, I could never go to a school that wasn't asthetically pleasing. Notre Dame is a good choice in that department. ^_^

I'm going to St. Scholastica in Duluth MN. It's close to home, great options for majors when you don't have one *Whistles non chalantly* but I felt like I was called there, because its more of a liberal Catholic College. I have friends that are going there who are working to build up the Catholic life there. I feel I'm called to help them out.

currently attending a community college in Fl, but i have to start thinking about what to major in and where i want to move on from there once i get my AA. I'm really considering switching my major from Nursing to Elementary Education (Parents not to happy, but i'm wondering if God's calling me on this one) and teaching Kindergarden, and possibly moving on to highschool in the future to teach literature and/or theology. I'm looking at Barry University in Miami Springs right now. I haven't visited yet, but from what i've seen the campus looks really pretty, and it's a pretty small school while still being close to home (driving in Miami tho :wacko: ) . Except i don't know how orthodox it is :( I wish Ave Maria in Naples didn't have it's accredidation problems, otherwise i would consider it too, but either school would depend on if i get a scholarship because it'll be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!! Otherwise, it looks like Florida Atlantic University, which better have a really good Newman Center.

I'm going to Indiana University this fall, I'll be a freshman. I chose the school because it has anything I could possible want to major in and its reasonably close to home (but not too close ^_^ ) and its a beautiful campus. There are other reasons, but those are the major ones.

hey hopeful1, i think it is great that you are opening yourself up to what you think God is calling you to do... I dont see what the big problem with people becoming a teacher is... my parents are all for it... and they know that i want to teach in a catholic school... so if it is the not getting paid alot... well i wont be getting paid alot at all... and anyways, i think that sometimes a teacher is the only stable thing in young kids lives... deoending on what their family situation is at home... i think that if you really feel called to become a teacher... GO FOR IT!!! and i totally understand the money factor... big problem here too... i have 2 siblings... 12 years at a catholic school for 3 kids... that isnt cheap... and now i want to go to ao catholic college???....

I plan on doing double major in psychology and theatre. I would love to go to Notre Dame, but I don't think I will get in (I'm applying anyway) and I really want to go to University of Central Florida, so I'm really hoping I get in to that school. If not, I'll end up at USF since it's right next to me.

Fides_et_Ratio

I'm a student at FUS (but hate the school, except for the classes). I'm a philosophy and theology major. Why? Because this crazy priest got me all excited about philosophy.. and after reading the Pope's encyclical "Fides et Ratio", philosophy and theology just go to together well. :lol:
