If it's issue oriented --- sounds wonderful! Just another caveat...I don't like the idea of dwelling on the candidates personal life. Especially not if it means digging up dirt on him. We can show people that he is not a good example and still treat him with dignity.

If Dust does it, it will be done with dignity, because that is the way he is.
Basically, all the things that he voted for/supports that are in direct opposition to Catholic teaching. Also, statements he's made about his faith, Catholicism, etc. Maybe some information about the parish he attends, statemenst made by priests at his church, his bishop, etc, etc.

I see the site as not necessarily an attack on Kerry, but an opportunity to educate people on what being CATHOLIC is and, more importantly, isn't.
* Catholics against Kerry Website (This website has a few references to his voting record)

Also, in addition to Catholic websites showing Kerry's voting record, his supporters (including Planned Parenthood) probably have a summary of his voting record.

Enjoy!

PS--If you go to Kerry's website, not only will you find that his views are the opposite of the Catholic Church's teachings, you will also find that he promises to never nominate a faithful Catholic as a federal judge. That's his litmus test.

hahaha Go dust!!!! I can't stand Kerry and the fact he runs around declaring his support of the church and his "pro life" stand and then he turns around and votes pro choice! ugh disgusting man!

John Kerry is Catholic. If we're renounce all those who call themselves Catholic yet fail to agree with all matters pertaining to canon law, there'd be very few Catholics left. He might not be a good Catholic, but he's still Catholic.

he is actually a Catholic who is not in full communion with the Catholic Church. Abortion is a non-negotiable, he persists in public manifest grave sin which is a scandal to the faithful.

I don't think this is a matter of canon law. And I think that it is acceptable to fraternally correct others...as long as we take the "log out of our own eye" every once in a while. ;)

This makes me think about a few questions:

1) What's a Catholic?
2) What's a "good" Catholic?
3) If Catholics can reject the Church teaching on abortion, what teaching is safe from the "cafeteria" effect?
4a) What is the value of a religion whose moral/faith teachings are optional?
4b) If we had 6 billion Catholics, and none of them accepted the Church's moral/faith teachings, what would it matter?

My own biased layman's opinion is that the best label for John Kerry is "nominal Catholic." But, that's just my opinion...
sounds awesome, but could you get sued for copyright infringement because of the way his site is set up? otherwise i think it's a smokin' idea!
I'm sure it would be considered satire.....

Personally, I think Kerry has already excommunicated himself.

The site will be charitable, but firm. It will speak the truth with force, and remain loving at the same time. One doesn't have to water down the truth to remain charitable.
Personally, I think Kerry has already excommunicated himself.
As long as he does it with full consent of the will (he does seem insane) and full knowledge of the issue (which I'm sure he has), then I think he qualifies for latae sententiae excommunication.

The only thing we need now is for the bishops to point it out officially.
