cappie
A novena is a word signifying nine and in a Christian context it signifys the nine days of praying and waiting, refered to in the Acts of the Apostles' of Mary and the Apostles between Ascension of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit. It can be a period of nine consecutive days or a particular day for nine weeks. The Church approves of such devotional practices, providing there is no superstition connected with the number nine and that such externals are a help to prayer and devotion
