Pope St Clement 1

This is their website :

Evangelical Sisterhood Of Mary

The following is a quote from one of their pages :

Co-founder Paul Riedinger, a Methodist church leader (d.1949), gave the sisterhood its name after Mary, the mother of Jesus, who exemplified faith and dedication to God's will, following Jesus to the cross.

Don't know much about them at the moment.

interesting find...Methodists have NUNS???? that's news

What about Lutherans, do some synods (is that the right word) do anything with mary? I thought i heard from a friend of mine (who thinking of converting from Catholicism, please pray) that some did, but another friend raised Lutheran said that from the churhces he's been to, they seem to give just as much attention to her as evangelical churches do. What about in terms of ecumenical dialogue, besides Vatican II?

I dod a google search using the term "Lutheran nuns" and found the following quote on one the websites that turned up :
Travel to Erfurt and enjoy a tour of this beautiful medieval city. Join the Community of the Casteller Ring (a community of Lutheran nuns) at the Augustinian Monastery for daily prayer and a presentation by one of the Sisters of the Community: The Spirituality of Prayer, Work, and Vocation.
Sorry hopeful 1, your post was actually about Lutheran devotion to Mary, and not about Lutheran nuns. I need to read posts more carefully.
Lutheran, Reformed Lutheran, Traditional Lutheran, Orthodox Lutheran? How many do you need to get it right?
Good question, fellow Aussie.

The Catholic Church is Christ's Church and other churches are in imperfect union with her, but it is interesting to see orders and Marian devotion in other churches.

wait a minute, there was debate in Luther's time between the Dominicans and Franciscans about the immaculate conception? What's that all about?
