theculturewarrior
I know you can ask any saint for anything, but I never hear anybody thanking saints when their prayers are answered. Is it idolatry to thank a saint, or praise a saint? What about Mary? I apologize if this question has been asked before. God bless! TCW
Pio Nono
JMJ 8/3 - Eighteenth Tuesday theculturewarrior, To my knowledge, this question has not been asked, so don't worry. To thank a saint for his intercession would not be out of the question; I would normally thank my mother for asking my father to do me a favor. However, to thank the siant for the gift itself might be fishy, at best, and idolatry at worst, since God is "the giver of all good gifts." To praise a saint is not a bad thing, so long as outright worship is avoided. Masses are offered all the time in honor of various saints. Hope this helps.
