Fides_et_Ratio
Well I found the 2 Eucharistic Prayers for Reconciliation... but am still looking for the Children's Masses, as neither seemed familiar.
cmotherofpirl
He may NOT use a Eucharistic prayer for children unless it is specifically a Children's Mass.
Fides_et_Ratio
He may NOT use a Eucharistic prayer for children unless it is specifically a Children's Mass.
Yeah, I read as much from the USCCB website. Also, I'd feel pretty insulted if he were. But I might feel *slightly* better if he at least wasn't making one up. Fides_et_Ratio
I finally found texts for the Eucharistic Prayers for Masses with Children, and now I am pretty confident that he was making up his own Eucharistic Prayer. So, other than bringing this up with the priest, and the pastor... is there anything else I need to do? I am already planning a letter to the Bishop concerning other liturgical matters, should I include this as well?
EcceNovaFacioOmni
On the fourth of July I went to an orthodox Catholic parish that had a slightly American themed Eucharistic prayer. Anyone else see that on the Fourth?
MorphRC
Having a lay person give a reflection instead of the priest's homily is not appropriate. However, it does not invalidate the Mass.
Ahhh ok
