If you look at today's American society. What ever you want goes, as long as it works for the benifit of the majority. If it feels good, reguardless of the cost do it. If you want to do something but wont because of something you believe you are thought of as a misfit. If you don't do something and "everyone" is doing it, and you don't, you are thought as strange, misguided and shouldn't be allowed in public until you change your ways. I have personally been in a debate about premarital sex standing up for my choice to be chaste against about ten guys who were essentally saying if we gave you the oportunity to have sex with us you would. They also said I couldn't find proof in the Bible to show premarital sex was wrong. The next day I came to school with my Bible and CCC and presented proof that the Bible does speak out about against premarital sex. Some of them would still give me grief but the majority respected me more because I would stand up for my beliefs.

As for the saying "but everyones doing it" no, not everyones doing it, the media tricks us into believing that everyones doing it, but in reality, it's a silent majority that's not.
