St. Catherine
celebrated with bread and water
Wonder Bread (or whatever other brand of your choice) and water in tiny little cups that fit into holes in trays that are passed throught isle during sacrament meeting. The sacrament prayer is said by teenage boys that then carry the trays to thier respective isles where they are passed around. Obviously not taken as seriously as it should be in my opinion. I think most Mormons don't know the full extent of their church's belief system until they actually leave the church. Some will even deny the bizarre beliefs that their previous prophets had. Some of the things that they believe are actually kind of funny, and makes you wonder where some of these ideas came from. I know the temple ceremony is much like a Masonic Ceremony. At least this is what I have read. I was a Mormon, I live in Utah. Edited July 31, 2004 by St. Catherine
franciscanheart
This is a bizarre church. I dont think anyone really understands it. I have been researching it lately because of a friend and nothing about it makes sense to me. I wonder though, because of the fact that it is so new, is this the reason why more people dont accept it? I do not agree with the church mind you but I know that people now accept Budhism and all sorts of other religions. Do you think in a couple hundred years people will accept this as an everyday not so weird religion?
