Zwergel, if you are Catholic, you are automatically (ipso facto) excommunicated for voting for someone who supports abortion (regardless of his "personal" beliefs). That means 1) you commit a mortal sin and are completely separated from God and His graces and 2) you are completely separated from the Church and cannot receive the Sacraments until you are reconciled to the Church. God bless.

Please dont hate the man.
Pray for him.

Good news.
His televised convention was the lowest reported Democratic convention in history. Dan Rather was quite flabbergasted (and I think, secretly pleased)

Peace.

I agree with Quietfire. I really, really, REALLY dislike John Kerry, but I certainly don't hate him (as someone said recently in another thread, hate is disliking someone so much you actually desire for them to spend eternity in hell).

And that bit about the Dem. convention... WOOT! lol

i can't stand watching that carp. all these lies.. even Hilary Clinton promising to make him President. of course i'll pray for him. i'm praying that many turn away from what he and his supporters are saying.

i feel emberassed that John Edwards is representing the State i live in, and giving him and NC a bad rep by going with Kerry.

yeesh.

Its a shame his speech was all lies. I watched the convention, only because I have nothing better to do. It was quiet good and moving.

I like the idea of not raising taxes on the middle class on raising it for the people making 200,000 or more a year, therefore paying for some of the things he mentioned.

I liked the idea of him saying he would take away the tax breaks companies get when they ship their business and jobs to foreign places (mexico for example).

I like the fact that he acknowledged that loosing one job that pays well and getting a new job that pays HALF as much is not 'Creating new jobs in America' as Bush likes to claim.

One thing that really, really, really, really kills me about G Dub is that he claims that they so called 'created' a few hundred thousand jobs in America. thats BS.

What really happened is that jobs werent created at all, those that actually found work, found it at the local Wal-Mart or McDonalds..They WERE making 45k/year, now they are making 15k/year..

doesnt sound too promising to me.

More jobs are being lost to overseas and mexico, the government doesnt want to fix it. In fact, G dub is going to keep it going and praises it.

I dunno about any of you, but ive been out of work since December of 2003.

Most of my jobs were shipped over seas, outsourcing they call it. Or there are so many people out of work, any job that comes available is quickly snatched up.

The economy in Indiana stinks, Wal-Marts not even hiring.

Gas prices are outrageous, utilities bills are getting higher.

All this carp and G Dub has the galls to go on TV and say 'We created 200,000 new jobs in America'

Bull...

My times up..God Bless..pray for me guys..its getting rough heya.

You must realize that the top 5% of the nation already pay 95% of the taxes. Don't think that the rich aren't 'pulling their weight.' We should be encouraging people to do things that make money, not punishing them for it.
I liked the idea of him saying he would take away the tax breaks companies get when they ship their business and jobs to foreign places (mexico for example).
Read between the lines here: it says 'America overtaxes companies already, and companies are moving to escape the high tax rates so they can stay in business. We can't let them do that!'

Plus, this is a decidedly selfish way of thinking: When companies move to other countries, they boost the GNP of those countries and raise the standard of living. 3rd world countries are so poor that people will work for next to nothing. But that next to nothing is more than they would make without that company. When the standard of living is raised sufficiently in 3rd world countries, they become trading partners, and it benefits everyone in the world. We in America are already so spoiled that it's silly to say that we need to be *more* spoiled than we are, especially if it comes at the expense of our poorer brethren.

Don't get sucked in by this jargon, it's got no basis in fact.
I dunno about any of you, but ive been out of work since December of 2003.
I'm sorry to hear that. My dad lost his job yesterday. :(
Most of my jobs were shipped over seas, outsourcing they call it. Or there are so many people out of work, any job that comes available is quickly snatched up.
Outsourcing is a decision by company managers, not by the President. It's usually done to avoid taxes and other expenses that a company would incur. (It is highly overrated in my opinion, but at times i guess it might make sense.)
The economy in Indiana stinks, Wal-Marts not even hiring.
Agreed. Ft. Wayne's economy isn't too hot right now at all! Still, it will be worse if we start raising taxes on the people that are capable of spurring economic growth.

Peace,
Joe
actually no, i am to young to vote, but if I was just two years older, you bet I would be voting for Kerry, no problem though, I'll vote for his re-election.
Because of Kerry's political positions against various moral teachings infallibly defined by the Church, I could not in good conscience vote for him, and if I did vote for him, I would commit a mortal sin.

I hope you are not under the impression thatthe Churchs power won the Cold war because frankly that is laghable the Church Has NO power and more than that the Church Has never had any power to speak of, no more than an old man trying to disapline a strong man in his prime. The Church has had Authority, but like the old mans it is Moral in nature not because it has had Power behind it.
