The Issue Of Modest Swimwear

i do not see anything wrong with a girl wearing a onepiece like speedo or tyr swimsuit to the pool......keeping in mind practicality and modesty, it, to me is the best alternative

i agree on the 12 year olds running around in bikinis.....im a lifeguard at the YMCA and ive seen my fair share of immodest swimsuits

The designs don't need that much work to be Ok in my book.

A little nip here and there can make all the difference.

I also disagree with this: two people wearing nothing are equally immodest

Also, I think a lot of good things have been said on this thread. My outlook is this:

1.) Modesty is necessary in all things

2.) The world does not exactly promote modesty

3.) Acting and Dressing modestly is, in many cases, largly subjective, depending on the situtation that one is is
[i]subpoint[/i]: a starving ethiopian is not "immodest" if he cannot afford clothes beyond a loincloth
[i]more realistic subpoint[/i]: Following the example of the Holy Father: if someone is wearing a one-piece swimsuit while they are in the water, and the extent of their "walking around" is to go from the water to a towel/more clothes then that is perfectly modest. If someone is wearing a bikini and walking up and down the boardwalk in it, that would be immodest.
