nippy316
Did you know that the guy Steve who used to be on Blues Clues is now releasing an album? Apparently he went from "We just figured out Blues Clues, we just figured out Blues Clues...." to a rock group. Who woulda thought? He also said he was proud to have been a part of Blues Clues and that he's didn't OD on drugs and all those other juicy rumors about him are false. Are you serious?? I LOVE Blue's Clues. I used go to Blue's Clues Live every year and I dress up like Steve and bring one of my Blue dolls and entertain the little kids. They all used to say, "Are you Steve?? Can I play with Blue??" It was so sweet. I even have the green striped shirt (it was a special order). I really, really, dislike Joe. Now Blue's Clues just isn't cool anymore. But I'm excited for Steve (which is his real name). This is crazy.
Qamidalash
Here you bring to light the crux of the problem of symbolism. Take the innocent rainbow, God's gift to mankind as a sign of his promise to never again flood the lands, now held high by the "Gay Pride" and "Gay Rights" crowds. Another example from American history is that of the Confederate Flag. Sure slavery was an issue during the Civil War, but the big issue that truly started it all was States Rights. After the war the symbol that so inspired a nation was hijacked by wackos like the KKK and used to further their racist agendas. It's a pity when you look at all the life expended during the Great War Between the States, and how today you can't show your pride for your southern heritage without being labeled a redneck and a racist. Red Knight I know what you mean!! I've been trying to find the lyrics to "The Rainbow Connection," the infamous song Kermit the frog sings, and I keep running into gay hookup sites! I know a lot of little kids who are afraid to say that they like rainbows or purple because of such gay sterotypes(sp?)...

I've been trying to find the lyrics to "The Rainbow Connection," the infamous song Kermit the frog sings, and I keep running into gay hookup sites! I know a lot of little kids who are afraid to say that they like rainbows or purple because of such gay sterotypes(sp?)... Try this link for the Rainbow Connection Lyrics: http://www.lyricsxp.com/lyrics/t/the_rainb...t_the_frog.html There are, however a couple pop-ups. To reduce the number of sites you don't want in your search try this, in the search box type in the words you are looking for and after them put in a space then - (minus sign) and the word you don't want. i.e: lyrics rainbow connection -gay That's what I typed in at google. Red Also, a great site to find information without a bunch of porn to sort through, try dmoz.org, it's a directory as opposed to a search engine. Very good. tobk2000
I don't think that the wiggles are gay, necessarily, but I do think that there are better things for kids to be watching. I have a 4-year old brother, who I don't let watch the stupid politically correct always happy nonoffensive shows. I'd prefer him to watch something with at least good v. evil, and good wins, or better yet, to read a book.

Also, I've heard Steve isn't doing too well with the rock stint, probably because he's too well known as a former actor on a children's show. -Mark

Cure of Ars
nice to c you all are the same. bye. again. Man you voted that I was homophobic. What if I gave you a big hug and a big kiss, would you think the same? Because I would do this. My post was mostly a joke. Sorry if you do not find it funny. I don’t really think it is a gay conspiracy because the show does not deal with sex. I do think that the characters are too effeminate and that there is a basic push in current children’s TV shows to encourage girls to be more aggressive and boys to be more sensitive. But this is my opinion and it could be that I am just too old school. If the joke offended you I am sorry.
Anna
The kids and I enjoy the Wiggles tremendously. Their songs are upbeat, and often educational. I've seen nothing particularly political about going riding in the big, red car (unless you're one of those liberal anti-SUV folks ) or constructing a fruit salad, etc. The songs have fun movements to go along with the words...The kids toot the horn and steer, for instance, during the Big Red Car song, and chop bananas, etc. for the fruit salad. It's just good clean fun that helps direct kids in play and music. They're not just vegetating in front of the boob tube, they're interacting. It's fun. The Wiggles are cool. Nice to see that some guys aren't afraid to be silly in order to put a smile on kids' faces (oh, yeah, and prolly a few million in their bank accounts as well... revolutionoflove
I was also pleased on their Christmas show last year that they sang songs other than the politically correct non-Jesus songs. They actually had kids dressed up like angels singing "religious" carols to a small statue of the Baby Jesus. That's not something you see everyday on TV! Guest jrob8503
Hey, just because they happen to be flamboyant, slightly effeminate and wear bright colors, that doesn't make them gay! Just look at Liberace. He was all of the above. And was HE........wait, no. Elton John is a good exam.....no. Richard Si..... I think in this case we can all trust in the wisdom of Jerry Fawell and Pat Robertson. They are two of the few available when it comes to providing unbiased, logical opinions on gay conspiracies. Just see how long you can think about those tow sentences without laughing. Edited September 24, 2003 by jrob8503
