BeenaBobba
I saw a special about The Village on HBO yesterday. I was really intrigued. If I can, I want to see this movie in the theaters. In my opinion, M. Night Shyamalan is one of the most talented directors out there. I love how he's able to do intelligent horror flicks. That's no easy task. His films are psychological to the core. cmotherofpirl
My son saw the movie last night said it was a waste of his hard-earned money.
zwergel88
I voted for too scary, because "Signs" completely freaked me out, but I have to agree, M. Night's movies have really good storys, and its cool how everything like come's together in the end, like the thing with the little girl and the water, in Signs
louisville
*this post contains spoilers (kind of)* i just got home from seeing the village. i am entertained real easily by pretty much any movie but this one was a waste of money. im glad i went to the matinee and saved myself $3. the fist 40 minutes of the movie was very suspenseful and well done so i was hoping for a good ending but i was left hanging. i waited at the end of the film to see if they perhaps placed the conclusion after the credits. good movie-bad ending

track2004
Word on my street is that it's Signs but in the woods. And I can't argue that M. Night is a good director, but maybe he should think about getting someone else to write a few scripts because I'm betting that the end is a "suprise" twist I'll be able to see 45 minutes in. That and the only movie I want to see in theaters now is H&K go to White Castle !
Hermione
Hmmm... a year ago I wrote a similar story. Same premise, same plot. 4 years ago, I wrote a story that turned up in Buffy as the story arc of the entire 5th season... I'm beginning to feel like Truman. But yeah, I'm gonna watch the Village. He's a good director~
Socrates
I thought The Village was Shaymalan's best since 6th Sense! (I thought Signs was dissapointing) I think alot of people didn't like the Village because it wasn't scary in the end, and people were expecting a scary horror flick. I don't want to give away too much, but though the movie is suspenseful, it's not really a horror movie - I think it's intended to be thought-provoking rather than scary. You'll enjoy it most if you watch it with an open mind.
