Some Baptists, I think, or some other denomination, came to a prof of mine on Ash Wednesday after they had seen the movie (and he had too) and told him (since they knew he was Catholic due to ashes) that they now understood why the Church taught the Real Presence in the Eucharist.
That's awesome! :D

God bless,

Jen
i didnt see any signs but I dont think the protostant church should be answer questions of a CATHOLIC movie.

theyve been outta the loop for 350 years
Gibson made promotional videos for churches to use... obviously, he knew other churches would promote the film. That's not a bad thing...

Yeah. I know there's a book out, '100 Questions about The Passion' (I think that's what it's called) which tells people that if they want to deepen their faith they should contact a catholic priest.

But it's true. It's a catholic movie through and through, and explains so much of our faith. But the best quote I've heard about it was from a kid in RCIT, who was still just learning about his faith...

"I love how they left it open for a sequel."

...at which his youth minister directed him to the Acts of the Apostles...

Cheers,

Dave :)

Blessed Be God!

P3 i know exactly what you are talking about, we had some of those and some that said "Come relive the experince all over again." and i was thinking yea it's called MASS, and the eucharist!

Anyways, One of our fransican buddies said he wanted to put up a confession booth right outside the movie theater for all that saw it. i thought that would have been a great idea.

God Bless

I've seen a few. It hasn't made me mad, it just means they enjoyed the movie and they want others to see it too. I doubt any of them would be able to explain anything about the symbolism of most of the events in that movie. Then again, that would be fun to watch... :)
