BeenaBobba
It didn't really make me mad. It amused me more than anything. To combat that, we Catholics should have made signs that said, "If you have any questions about this movie that was based on the Bible and a book by a blessed Catholic woman, was directed by a Catholic, and has a devout Catholic starring as Jesus, ask me." God bless, Jen

BurkeFan
Some Baptists, I think, or some other denomination, came to a prof of mine on Ash Wednesday after they had seen the movie (and he had too) and told him (since they knew he was Catholic due to ashes) that they now understood why the Church taught the Real Presence in the Eucharist. Thy Geekdom Come
Some Baptists, I think, or some other denomination, came to a prof of mine on Ash Wednesday after they had seen the movie (and he had too) and told him (since they knew he was Catholic due to ashes) that they now understood why the Church taught the Real Presence in the Eucharist.
That's great! I saw it when I was in seminary and a local Baptist pastor picked the seminarians up to go see it in his church's bus. They were very charitable and we had a very good ecumenical experience.

ilovechrist
some Churches around here have asked Catholics to come and speak @ their Parish about certain questions they have about the movie... VERY COOL!!!
Ash Wednesday
What really surprised me are the "witness cards" they are selling from the official Passion website. They are cards with the "three steps and asking Jesus into your heart and eternal life is yours" kind of thing -- mainstream evangelical Christian. I was a little surprised that Gibson agreed to include that kind of merchandising -- (unless of course the cards said "now stop by your local Catholic church for more information") Maybe it was because they wanted it to be mainstream and appeal to a large general audience. But it still struck me as being odd.

Lil Red
i kept thinking that all the Catholic churches should band together and have tables with RCIA information on them.
