Thy Geekdom Come

Hey guys, just thought I would check in and say hello. I'm at my aunt's house in Maryland. There is a copy of The DaVinci Code on the table <_<...should I burn it?

My cousins are watching bootlegged copies of movies <_<...and I'm trying to stay sane as the only Cathoholic here...

Praise God, my pro-abort aunt didn't go up to receive the Eucharist at Vigil Mass today (I wish she would come to the good graces of the Church so that she could, though).

Anyway, pray for sanity and, more importantly for the sake of my family's souls.

I'll tell you more when I get back home.

I love you all, pham!

Ah...Phatmass...home away from home.

Hang in there Raph! I know how hard it is to be around family who are quite as Catholic cool as you. I just did a head to head discussion with my aunt on married priests and NFP a couple of weks ago and she's the youth group leader for her parish!!

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for Us.

I went to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception today. Very beautiful. I'll share the photos with you all when I get them developed.

I also picked up a brown scapular in the gift shop (I've never had a scapular ). Now I'm confused, because I remember phatmassers telling others before that they just buy a scapular and start wearing it, but this says I need to be formally vested with it by a priest in a short ceremony...so now I have to wait to find a priest who will be willing to take the time to help me...

Yeah, but I wanted to do it as soon as possible and...well...my pastor will not do it for me, I bet...maybe Fr. Peter from Boys Town would oblige me...
