cathgirl
I don't mean to spoil the fun for everyone, but I miss PM the way it used to be With so many Personal Threads cluttering Open Mic and "Free Threads" all over the CA section...there doesn't seem to be much to look forward to anymore, because threads that aren't the chain threads are bumped all the way down. I am guilty, I started the Complaining Thread and Complimenting Threads. Once they got a little long and started cluttering, I closed them but people staretd new ones so I just re-opened. Maybe it's just me. But before personal threads, the way you got to know people (especially newbies) was by how they posted in various threads on many different subjects. Then you'd start sending PM's, sometimes it ended up in MSN conversations... But now, if all the newbies and others stay in personal threads (don't get me wrong, I know they;re very fun) you just don't seem to get out of them and "socialize", so to speak. So I feel like I don;t know many people who joined recently. That's just my view. It'd be nice to have Open Mic a bit richer.
Same here, esp. w/ the Creepy Alien's board. There are SOOOO many random threads, there really only needs to be one. I don't mind the complaining/complimenting ones, it's just the personal threads that bug me unless they are to ask the person a question. (unless it's a marrage proposal for Vera Poor girl... )

So if personal threads, free threads, and "say anything" threads keep being bumped, they push the more serious ones all the way down and out of sight. Again, I shouldn't be one to talk because I start as many random threads as anyone, but I think we should try to limit them.
cathgirl
I don't mind when some pple make random threads b/c they post in ones besides that one. I've made a couple myself. I think that we should have a thread pinned that you could write in if you are gonna be gone for awhile so everyone knows.
StColette
you mean like a random chat thread pinned ?
VeraMaria
Maybe blending personal threads into one or two would be a good thing so we don't have that many floating around. Except for that, I guess it's up to the people who spend their PM time in those threads if they want to come out and "socialize" . It's just that us "regs" want to get to know the newbies, and if you don't talk to us, it's kind of hard. But hey, I know those threads are addicting... The reason I don;t post in them is because it's usually a group of people who know each other personally who start them

By the way, I don't want it to sound like I'm complaining. I'm not, why would I be. It's just that many regular Phatmassers don't hang around anymore, and I'd really like to have them back. The reason is that they go into Open Mic and see "Alexandra's Thread", right under that "Let's make 10000 posts thread", right under that "Grunlosulis Thread" and under that "Carlos' Thread". You know what I mean. I've PMed a couple of people who used to be here a lot and they admitted that for some the reason is that everything's too chaotic and there's no "conversation" anymore. I know there is, but it'd be nice if things would settle down just a tad. I want those people back!!!

That wasn't the point, to make anyone feel guilty. I just think it'd be nice to unclutter open mic a tiny bit so we can breathe. It can be as simple as having two personal threads instad of *insert random # here* Who am I kidding. I'm going to stop posting here, all I succeed in is making people feel bad! StColette
lol Vera, I know what you mean !! It's my opinion that the personal threads are starting to die down, except for the occasional person bumping them, but I won't respond in them unless someone absolutely needs to talk to me and there is no quicker way for them to get ahold of me lol

The others ones keep being bumped.
