Those arent as bad as a living deja vu.
Stuff like,
I was on my way to pick up my sis for dinner, I dropped my brother off at the restaurant (only had a two seater) and on my way was car jacked(actually they wanted the car, it was a vette, my money, and me)

I kept thinking of my sis and bro and that they were waiting for me.
They both told me later that they had experienced a sense of fear and a feeling to run. My sis almost started to run in the general direction of the area I was in, but her husband talked her out of it, telling her she was nuts.

Or the time I begged my husband to go to his grandmothers house(we were two blocks away) cause I had a bad feeling for the last few hours that something was wrong. He just wanted to head home so we did.
We got home and there was a message, his grandfather had died and they were trying to reach us.

Or the time I spent 3 months tracking my uncle down (long story) and when I finally did, I sent him a letter telling him how much I loved him and that all my memories of him as a child were wonderful and that I just wanted to tell him that.
He wrote me back a two page letter thanking me and telling me that he always thought wonderful things for me and my siblings, and that night he died in his sleep. My aunt mailed it the next day. I got the letter the same day I found out he had died.

I got a bunch more of these. My mom said it runs in her family. (She knew when my dad's mom had passed away- and she lived 1500 miles away from us)

I can just concentrate on my brother and he'll call me on the phone.

creeeeeepy. wanna see?

Peace.
Okay, that officially freaks me out!
I dunno, but I had a really strange dream one night a week or two ago.

I was a priest and I was messing it all up...I didn't have a homily for the mass, I didn't bring the Eucharist "wafers" to be blessed...I was running around lighting candles and praying for a miracle to get me through the mass...My dream was good for one thing...it told me that I am not meant to be a priest!
Or it could be the devil trying to discourage you FROM being a priest. :) Maybe he is trying to prevent future problems for himself by discouraging you now.
Some dreams can come from angels and I think even Saints, but I'm not sure about the last one. Angels can even place images in your head during the middle of the day. :)
I had an "awake dream" that I was standing in a greyness and someone was enumerating all the sins of my life. It was a review of my entire life and not pretty.

That sent me to confession for the first time in 20 years. Sometimes God has to be obvious to get your attention.

I've trained myself to have really vivid dreams. I keep a dream log and I'm beginning to see the connections between what happens in my dreams and what happened during the day, or what I anticipate to happen the next day. Sometimes there's symbolism that ends up becoming pretty cool and it's fun to make connections to future events.

For example, to find a Catholic example, I had this dream where there was a huge street procession for the Feast of Christ the King. I looked up the street and saw all these Cardinals lined up processing down a different parallel road. The next day, when I was driving up to LA, I saw this line of Red cars on the lane next to me, and I'd say we were processing up the I-5 on the way to mass because traffic was really heavy!

Dreams have also been the source of a lot of neat ideas. If you've ever seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, there you can see the film's director also keeps good track of his dreams.

You wouldn't want to know what type of dreams I had as a kid. I had nightmares almost every night.

Ash Wednesday

Dreams can mean something, or they can mean very little.

I dream a lot of anxiety dreams -- you know, dreams where I am back in school and am in a class I had been skipping and not attended all year, and was flunking, and I'm telling them "I have a college diploma! Why am I here?"

Dreams like that are manifested from life anxieties, fear of failure, of not moving on, et cetera. I don't think they tell us anything we don't already know, however. And they inspire interesting art. ;)

When I was about fourteen, I dreamed the exact way my mom would die, almost thirteen years ago. In the dream, she died of pneumonia unexpectedly on an emergency room bed.

This came true twelve years later.

Twice I've had dreams regarding relatives and within two weeks of each dream the relative had passed away. I've learned that if I dream about a relative to visit them within a week.
