Thy Geekdom Come
I coundn't read it, it says I have to register...
Oh...huh...my brother must have registered or something... That's fine, I'll just quote it. Wait...actually, I could...but it wouldn't be moral. Sorry, just ignore this thread. WillT
That is just about the saddest, sickest thing I've ever read. I don't think it would be immoral to quote it so people can pray for this "woman" and her two babies she had murdered so she wouldn't lose jobs, but it's your thread, so I will leave it up to you. Piccoli Fiori JMJ
WHAT? WHAT KIND OF.... eww...
Thy Geekdom Come
Unfortunately, I think it's immoral despite the context. Let's just say that this woman was having three kids, a set of identical twins and another, at the same time. She thought it would conflict with her lifestyle, so she had a certain chemical (which I know, but will not post the name here) injected into the twin fetuses' hearts to kill them (I am familiar with this chemical...it essentially gave the kids heart attacks). So she killed the twins and decided to have just the one kid. Then she talks about feeling depressed afterwards, but how that's okay, because she'll get over it. You know...I think of the movie Sophie's Choice and I can't imagine the pain this must put a mother through, but then there are women doing it out there for their own gain, choosing which children they want and which should be killed, all the time. Abortion is a mockery to the tragedy of all the real miscarriages, child deaths, SIDS cases, etc.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ
THAT IS HORRIABLE! How can she live with that? Your own flesh and blood, and you go and KILL them? It makes my sad and want to cry What a sad world we live in...
Piccoli Fiori JMJ
And she gets in the paper for doing this?
Thy Geekdom Come
And she gets in the paper for doing this?
She dictated the article to a journalist. Basically, just telling her story. She wasn't really saying, "everyone should be able to do this," but just telling her story, which seemed set in a tone to drum up sympathy for her and to make people empathetic to her experience. I hate the New York Times...it's the worst newspaper ever...birds don't even want it in their cages...

The whole depression thing was God hitting her with a sack full of doorknobs! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!

IcePrincessKRS
That just makes me sick to my stomach. As a mother I find myself dealing with this kind of stuff less well than I used to. I cannot watch or look at pictures anymore without feeling like I'm going to throw up. I used to look and pray and feel sad. Now, after knowing what women go through during pregnancy and labor first hand, knowing the immense love when you first hold your child.... it makes me ill. How can someone be so cold and cruel to just murder their child like that? (And I don't mean women who are pressured into abortions, or who don't have a chance to learn how its wrong or whatever, I'm talking about these cold-hearted people who KNOW and just don't care. )
