FreakofFaith
my husband and i joined the church a year ago. already, we have problems. we don't have a lot of money, so we give our time instead. our parish is working on becoming a stewardship parish or something, and when we were asked to help with the stewardship committee, we said okay. everything was fine for a while. now, they want us to come up with this list of all the ministries. i don't know what half of the ministries are or what they do. we don't want to just give up and say we can't do it, but some of the other committee members have criticized what we have done without giving any advice. and getting what is wanted from the big head is near impossible. now we know what he wants, but we only have two weeks. how can i tactfully tell this crowd to lay off a little, that we were not qualified after one year to take on this kind of task? Fides_et_Ratio
Is there a way to speak to the pastor about it?
cmotherofpirl
Here are the websites of some of our churches in our dioceses - go thru them and check out the various ministries offered to get some ideas. Some are called ministries, oithers are listed as liturgical or social activities. Or check the bullitons of your neighboring parishes. FreakofFaith
no, we just had a priest change and the new priest has the attention span (not to mention the personality) of an angry moth. i know he tries, but he is a very difficult person. i checked out the sites, they were helpful. thank you.
