BurkeFan
I honestly think that if you pick a pro-abort candidate for some other reason, such as John Kerry's hair, even though you don't support the "yay abortion" position they take, that you give an unspoken fiat to that position. They see each vote for them as a vote for the entire platform, including abortion, I think. I'm going for Bush, all the way.

EcceNovaFacioOmni
Not all moral issues have the same moral weight as abortion and euthanasia... There may be a legitimate diversity of opinion even among Catholics about waging war and applying the death penalty, but not however with regard to abortion and euthanasia... -Cardinal Ratzinger http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2.../6/152916.shtml
dUSt
This is not a black and white issue, you cant tell me that if I vote for a certain person I'm sinning, cause none of you have the right to say that to me. I was simply stating who I'm voting for cause that's what the thread asks.
As far as being Catholic goes, it is a black and white issue. Our Holy Father John Paul II: “abortion and euthanasia are crimes which no human law can claim to legitimize. There is no obligation in conscience to obey such laws; instead there is a grave and clear obligation to oppose them by conscientious objection. In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to ‘take part in a propaganda campaign in favor of such a law, or vote for it.’" (The Gospel of Life, no. 73) You're right when you say that I don't have the right to say you're sinning, but as the Vicar of Christ, the pope does. By voting for a pro-abortion candidate when there is a pro-life candidate as an alternative, you're rejecting the Church, and in turn, rejecting Christ. God bless. Luthien
I dont like Bush, but I hate Kerry. Ill pick the lesser of both evils. War is different from abortion; a grown man can defend himself, a baby is defenseless.
Aloysius
Kerry is militantly pro-abortion (in action and policy but "not personally" ) Kerry has and would increase federal funding of pro-abortion policies. Bush has and would work to stop federal funding of pro-abortion policies. Choosing between those two is a no-brainer.

MaxKolbe
I just miss the voting deadline too. I will not be18 until early December. But if I did vote it would be a peace of cake. Look at what he has done to the Catholic church... It is people like him who make others either second guess the faith, want nothing to do with the faith, or convince other catholics that what he believes is ok... and worse of all... it doesn't seem to phase him one bit. Can he honestly sit there and say he is Catholic? MaxKolbe p.s. I am finally responding to a post Zach and Jason.
Iacobus
I am getting a bumper sticker for Bush "Bush '04 FOUR MORE WARS!" LOL! I thought about it at least. But I am too poor to waste money on that. I think without idealism, what do we have. We are idealist in wanting to make the world a better place, and one way to do that would be new found respect for life, etc. Another thing that I pick up on with Bush (not to say Kerry isn't guilty either) is the poltican thing. I mean the dual talk and so forth. But at least Kerry double talks and double acts. I like actors. Did anyone hear about what Ron Reagan is doing on Tuesday? Sign of the times?
