BeenaBobba
this list is basically saying 'who's better than jesus? oh right no one'
Well, yeah. But, then again, there have been some cheesy movies made about Jesus (the one starring Jeremy Sisto comes to mind). Just because a movie is about Jesus doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to be a good film, artistically speaking. I think The Passion of the Christ is the best of these movies because of the way the subject matter was treated, and because Gibson generally made a really good film. It hit me in all the right spots. God bless, Jen
bartipoo
Well I would have to say the Passion is the only movie from this list that left me sitting there for a full 5 minutes completely speachless and with tear filled eyes. This is also the only one that has impacted the way I view going to mass every day. I have never seen all of saving private ryan but it seems like a great war movie. I have never seen Casanova, BioDome, Last Samuri, Panic Room, or Legally Blonde II. The great escape is one of the best old war movies ever made. The lines, the actors, the friendship, the realism, it is all so good. Legally Blonde was pretty funny but there have been some better chick fliks. 50 First Dates was a GREAT story but there was so much un-needed and crude dialogue. It made me smile and think about the possibility of loving someone enough to make them fall in love with me every single day. **I think Bruce Almighty should be on this list too. This is a great movie with a great message. Surrender to Him!!
bartipoo
Is it true that The Passion is going to be released in every movie theatre every Easter??
Are you kidding?!?! It wasn't even in every theater when it first came out. However that would be pretty cool. :thumb: I would love to be able to see it on a life size setting every Easter to get me into gear for Him.
