EcceNovaFacioOmni
This game is awesome (besides the fact that they screwed up the Fighting Irish uniforms). This thread will be devoted to talking about how awesome NCAA Football 2005 is (I've got XBox). (Or you can just ignore it and make me look like an idiot for posting this.) EDIT: This was supposed to be in open mic. I guess you could debate whether Lee Corso is a genius or not but I'de recommend moving it elsewhere. EcceNovaFacioOmni
in what ways is it better then '04?
-There is a big hits button -Dynasty mode is much more complex, like violations, suspensions, drop-outs, etc. -Create signs for fans to hold in the stadium -Online play for XBox -More pennants -Cheat codes this year -Can edit historic team rosters -Even playing field mode for online play makes both teams equal (so that everyone doesn't take Miami and Oklahoma again) -Home field advantage makes it harder for away teams to play in places like Notre Dame Stadium -Can pump up the crowds and make opposing teams mess up or miss the audible call -Young players can crack under pressure -Bad plays affect morale -Captains can talk to certain position players (in timeouts) and improve their performance on the next play -Cutom playbooks -Of course updated rosters -And more at http://www.ncaafootball05.com/

That ain't old skool. You want classic sports games, go with Tecmo Bowl, Baseball Stars (quite possibly the best baseball game ever made), and Blades of Steel. That's some Nintendo excellence right there.
conservativecatholic
Isn't it the first football game to be on Xbox Live? It's awesome.
EcceNovaFacioOmni
Yeah. And playing as 1924 ND with the Four Horseman makes me tingly. BTW: NFL 2K5 has a first-person mode this year. I saw a screen shot of it at their official website. I think that's totally awesome.

Do you go there or are you a prospective student? Go Fighting Irish!
EcceNovaFacioOmni
Prospective student. Perhaps a lifer if I decide to join CSC. ND is much more to me than a football team (and the best one at that). Go Irish in 2004!
I knew that. I had a feeling that's what the acronym stood for, but I couldn't place it. That is so cool. Maybe I'll see ya there! BTW: I watch the Notre Dame Mass every Sunday on TV with the Holy Cross Priests. We have a Holy Cross Chapel in downtown Houston. It's awesome.
