Dream Ticket

Starting this in the dabate table, because it could turn into a debate.

Being that the candidates for the upcoming election have pretty much been decided, what would be your "Dream Ticket" for the 2008 presidential election?

Mine:

Pres: Sen. Sam Brownback (KS)
VP: former Rep, JC Watts (OK)

Of course, what are the odds of a boy from Kansas and a boy from Oklahoma getting elected?!! That's why it's a dream ticket, I guess!! :D

Pat Buchanan (minus his immigration plan) with Alan Keyes; however, neither of them are perfect candidates by any means. At least Buchanan is a strong supporter of de-secularizing America, and he is a Traditional (TLM) Catholic. However, America (or most any country for that matter) will never be helped until a monarchy is restored...democracy is a disaster.

Wasn't Buchanan the one who wanted to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico to stop illegal immigration? I seem to remember something along those lines ...

And I'd go for Keyes and Santorum in any order.

My 2008 Dream Ticket would have to be Pat Buchanan as Preisdent and Alan Keyes as Vice President. It's ironic that many people chose those two as well... Then again, the vast majority of conservative Catholics vote Republican.

Realistically, it won't happen.

I do hope that Hillary "Scary" Clinton and Condaleeza Rice duke it out in 2008 as Presidential Candidates! That would be great!

I, too, would LOVE to see a Clinton vs. Rice campaign (with Condi winning, of course). :duel:

Is Allan Keyes Catholic? Just wondered, 'cause everyone seems to be so keen on him, and it seems like he'd be an awfully random choice for that many PM-ers to pick, otherwise. :)

The reason all PMers will pick Alan Keyes is because of that Apologist song CIA (Catholics In Action) which says "...representives who live what they believe, like Alan Keyes, not singin what the media would please..."

So, then, he's Catholic?

Alan is a good ol' Catholic. He would be a great VP to yet another awesome Catholic, Pat Buchanan.

Not sure about a wall, but I'm definitely not in agreement with Buchanan's ideas on immigration (among quite a few other things).

Always liked Santorum--didn't know he was Catholic. And go, Alan Keyes, with his Catholic self!! Woo-hoo!!!

This finding-out-who's-Catholic thing is TOO MUCH FUN! :rolling:

(I am a big dork, but there it is. Woot-woot!)
