ok so the other day i go to confession with a couple mortal sins related to impurity to confess......i begin on the first and after im done with that one the priest begins to give me some much needed counsel.....and when he is done talking, he asks me to make my act of contrition

my problems are as follows:

1) im not sure if i confessed the other mortal sins i had to confess; what do i do?
2) i was not able to confess the venial sins i had on my conscious; what should i do? go to confession again and confess those? or am i good?
3) should i have told the priest that i was not done confessing my sins before i made my act of contrition? that seems a bit rude

im just a little lost on this whole situation and would like some help!

You probably should have said something like "Sorry Father I'm not done yet" This has happened to me when I have thought someone has finished their confession and they tell me they have not so I let them continue. No big deal
You don't have to confess all venial sins so it doesn't matter but if you want to you can, just don't fall into the trap of scruples.
If you are sure you have not confessed all mortal sins then go to confession again. It was not your fault, just a misunderstanding on the part of the priest so go to confession if you can this weekend
