Sarcasm

Is sarcasm sinful or not? The dictionary defines sarcasm as:"witty language used to convey insults or scorn." Sarcasm itself seems to be borne of pride. If Sarcasm is born of the pride of a person, doesn't that make it sinful?

Just some random thoughts.

it can be used rhetorically

i cant spell...

but sometimes a bit of sarcasm helps people to think a bit...

if that helps someone, it could be a selfless act

There is only one selfless act in human history. That is when Christ laid down his life for us. All acts done by humans are selfish.

I think in a lot of contexts, sarcasm cvan be sinful, but I'm guilty of it ALL the time.

It literally means "tearing of flesh". Sinful or not, it's probably not nice.
