crusader1234
Maybe this is bad, but for me, I go to mass for the Eucharist and the homily. But now my amazing Priest has become rector of a Cathedral so now we are getting a new one . So basically I might end up going just for Eucharist. I actively participate and stuff but I couldn't really care less about some parts. Like the sign of peace (that actually makes me MAD because its abused so much), and all that. Peace, Rich
Christina
Spiritual dryness is awesome actually. It's a time to "listen" and "grow" .... it's when you are closest to Jesus believe it or not. Dark Night of the Soul will teach you a lot about that. As for Mass.... Have you ever listened to How to Get the Most Out of the Mass, By Scott Hahn? WOW.... I think after I listened to this series, I realized exactly what was going on around me during the Mass. Now, when I attend... I get very excited and I actually tremble when I'm in line for Communion. Just think! During the Consecration all the angles are surrounding the Altar.... imagine if you could see this! How excited would you be? I will pray for you!
Sinner
C-Mom hits the nail on the head! My Spiritual Director tells me my feelings for prayer and Mass are not that relevant.... either good or bad. What is important is the consistent Sacrifice.... His and mine. True Love is about Sacrifice. Your gift of time for our Lord is maybe sometimes even better when you feel frustrated. Pick it like a flower and give it to Him.
