Lady Grey, Hot
I don't really know if "venerating" saints (besides Mary) under titles is really that common in Catholicism, but if it is a practice, would there be any reason why Catholics couldn't use Orthodox titles for them? I ask because I was recently given an icon of St. Helen, and the accompanying materials indicated that in the Eastern Orthodox tradition, she is venerated (again, if that's the right word?) under the title "Equal-to-the-Apostles." That seems like a very bold claim - which I don't necessarily mean in a bad way, but it did give me pause.

So I don't think it's unique to Orthodoxy. And I suspect it's also a common practice in Eastern Rite Catholic churches.
