One of the greatest travesties of our age, and one of the greatest "signs of the times", is that people have lost their sense of humor, particularly about themselves.

I don't know if people have lost their sense of humor or not.  Tell us a joke about yourself and we can see how many people will laugh.

huh,... yup agree that 'autism-causing vaccines' is what is to blame for people in general to lose a their sense of humor about them selves,... its the only scientific explanation in my mind that explains things,... is hell on the verge of freezing over???

Perhaps I'm just another product of my lib generation ruining humor, but I don't think misogynistic jokes are ever really a good or acceptable thing. It shouldn't be considered appropriate or acceptable to mock women and perpetuate harmful stereotypes.

I think the word misogony, much like racism, has been overused to the point of no longer being meaningful. 

Misandry is far more commonplace today than misogony, but there are probably people here who have never even heard the word.  

A joke at the expense of feminine stereotypes is not misogony.  In fact, it seems to me that jokes that play against the stereotypes of men vs women could actually be very helpful in our culture, which seems literally hell-bent on destroying the very concepts of men and women.
