The Institute of Catholic Culture – know the faith, love the faith, live the faith

Part of the reason why I haven't been on here as much is because I've been taking a whole lot of online adult education/formation classes, mostly from the Institute of Catholic culture… But really, I think it is possible to still post here sometimes, regardless. Anyway, this is what I want to say:

I want to love God with all of my mind as well as with all my heart and all my strength – – we have to learn the faith thoroughly and I'm trying to do that as much as possible for me…

I'm not sure I ever shared about it before, but I've been down with the Institute of Catholic culture since 2008 or so, maybe even longer. Anyway, they offer live lectures and courses on topics like philosophy, history, Scripture, contemporary issues… Really top notch stuff with excellent speakers. For example, last Tuesday, Father Robert Spitzer, SJ was on talking about Jesus' five-step program to defeat the devil and how we can combat the power of the devil in our own lives through the power of Christ's Paschal victory. Tonight, at 8 PM (7:30 PM) Eastern time. That was part one. Tonight at the same time is part two. I felt the inspiration to share… I can't keep all the wealth to myself.

Oh yeah, starting in May, there will be an extensive course on bioethics. Also, all of the short lectures are archived – – good material to check out as we head into Holy Week.

Have any of you heard about the ICC?

Sounds interesting. I haven't heard of it, but just looked them up online and there are a range of courses. Is it correct to say these are free? (it does sound too good to be true)

Yep. Everything on there is completely and totally free. It's really amazing to see all the speakers that have given lectures for the ICC.

I haven't heard of the resource, but I've saved the link to investigate it further.

I wish I  had followed up on this  thread earlier… They just finished accepting applications for the free bioethics course.  my bad. But it will always be there on demand in the future.

Doesn't Word on Fire have something similar? I wonder how they compare.

unfortunately, the Word on Fire Institute is pretty dang expensive…  great  content  (I'm taking advantage of the free trial offer) ut  pricey. The ICC  on the other hand has great solid content, easy to navigate,  completely free of charge like the Gospel.
