Cure of Ars
The Bible clearly attests that there is a natural law built into us, so that we can know what is good and what is evil. “Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things? The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us…” (Ps 4:6-7) “For when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature those things that are of the law; these having not the law are a law to themselves:” (Roman 2:14) These quotes are from the Douay-Rheims Bible. Christina
I've always found this CCC paragraph to be very profound. 1776 "Deep within his conscience man discovers a law which he has not laid upon himself but which he must obey. Its voice, ever calling him to love and to do what is good and to avoid evil, sounds in his heart at the right moment. . . . For man has in his heart a law inscribed by God. . . . His conscience is man's most secret core and his sanctuary. There he is alone with God whose voice echoes in his depths."

phatcatholic
How about the first reading today?
yea, for real, i noticed that too! Deut. 30:11-14 11 "For this commandment which I command you this day is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will go up for us to heaven, and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' 13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' 14 But the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it. word is bomb Edited July 11, 2004 by phatcatholic
