Didacus
Is the Afghan mess from pulling out troops what it looks like? Is it Biden's fault or Trump? Is it a failure or not? What in the world went wrong there?

So the US military has been outsourced to contractors to the point of being inable to sustain itself? That tells me thatbthe US military has essentially turned into a money machine amd nothing else. If this is true the US would be completely unable to defend itself against any sizable organized attack - EVEN CANADA WOULD BE ABLE TO CONQUER THE US IF THAT WERE TRUE! KnightofChrist
Biden is mentally Impaired, he's not to blame whomever the acting president is to blame. Even the ln it's the failure of the generals as well.
Ice_nine
well at least they left them a bunch of helicopters and automatic weapons.
Ash Wednesday
It's a culmination of years of failed policy and shared blame -- it's pretty laughable to watch the mental gymnastics of the politically minded on social media try to assign blame to "the other side" when it's shared by multiple presidents and both political parties. You can't really "rebuild" a country you don't understand. And as far as recent withdrawal was concerned, intelligence gave warning but was ignored by both Biden and Trump. little2add
What’s next in Afghanistan? Covid/Pestilence, starvation, civilian casualties… food stocks in Afghanistan could run out as soon as this month. more than half of all under-fives (children who are less than five years old) are suffering from extreme malnutrition, and more than one-third of citizens are not getting enough to eat. Didacus
The Taliban will very quickly make friends... China is at the forefront of that as they ate thirsty for oil without US interference and there are huge mineral deposits there as well. China takes all and won't care how the Taliban treats their 'citizens' or build up their military capabilities. Its a match made... somewhere, but certainly not in heaven. Aghan + China = world far more dangerous than it was just 2 years ago.

I would assume there are a great many differing opinions. The policy of the US government is obviously not based on how governments treat their people.
