sr.christinaosf
I work at a home for the elderly...Now that things have opened up around here and residents are free to mingle, etc., we're restarting a Sunday Worship Service for Non-Catholic (protestant) residents in our Chapel. (I am very much in favor of offering them an opportunity for Sunday worship.) We don't have a protestant minister, so it's falling on myself and other Sister to do it. (We may get a retired minister to help in the coming weeks.) I'm just feeling a bit awkward about the whole thing...It's supposed to be my turn on Sunday (after our Mass). Mercedes
I'm assuming that the Catholic Church is fine with this arrangement. My first impulse was that it is a privilege to serve in this way. If the residents are receptive to a Catholic nun, it is an incredible ecumenical witness as well. Prayers for your peace.
