Also, I believe Daredevil was a Catholic, and he was the man without fear, so your premise is flawed.
For all of the long posts, (God bless those posts, by the way!) I have a fairly simple refute for sola scriptura.

1) Whatever did people do before the Bible was officially formed? Surely, those first few centuries of Christians needed something to lean on.

2) Who established the NT canon? The Catholic Church. To hear the Prtestants tell it, we have a fallible listing of infallible book. eh...doesn't seem to fit.

Brother Adam

justforcatholics.org. haha. That website is weak when it comes to apologetics. McCarthy and White do not present challenges to the faith.

Bro Adam congrats!

Dairy,
How original.
Instead of simply taking Ironmonk up on his offer, you offer one of your own using his words and his format to make an arguement.

Does anyone see the similarity here?
Catholicism-"Protest"antism.

Dr. Joe Mizzi (webmaster of JustForCatholics) doesn't even think the Church fathers have any authority... I've e-mailed him a dozen times... I'm not sure his site is really a "Church", but he demonstrates an extreme hatred for Catholicism, a religion he doesn't know anything about.

ironmonk has three dots after "no one can do this" and you only have two dots, therefore ironmonk wins.

Hey, for further info on Sola Scriptura and why it is invalid, check out my post titled "Apostolic Tradition" in the Catholic Apologetics section. And my website www.xanga.com/blovedwolfofgod has a good post on July 7th about Peter and the Papacy.

Justforcatholics.org is an aweful website. Is Dr. Joe Mizzi, the webmaster, a liberal Catholic or Protestant? How can he create such a website "just for catholics" and not believe in infallible Catholic Church doctrine such as... Papal Infallibilty and Salvation by Faith plus Works. Dr. Mizzi and his anti-Catholic beliefsdo not belong in this phorum.

Dr. Joe Mizzi isn't a Catholic, he claims he used to be. He converted to some Protestant denomination (not sure what one) and the point of his site is to get other Catholics to convert to his new religion.

CatholicAndFanatical

why is it when diarygirl asks a question, thinking she has one over on us, we (or in this case you) refuted it many times over (with accurate, factual information) she seems to fly away somewhere and doesnt reply?

I wouldnt of taken the longest one like phatcatholic did..its easy to prove a prot church is man made.geesh simple history tells us that they werent even around until after 1500.

Just because they dont want to believe the truth doesnt make it untrue now does it?

Some people will go to any lengths to refute the truth and go against Christ.

I should add to my post that it was only Catholic until the Orthodox split, then it was Orthodox (who hold MUCH of the same beliefs as us) and Catholics until after the 1500's
